Name a game that lasted 12 years with no revisions not named Super Turbo (the 6th revision of SF2). I'll wait. If TVC2 never came out, it would still see play. But do you, breh.
The only reason it lasted so long because there was nothing else like it. If Marvel 3 was as shyt as you claim then it would of never picked up like it did. I mean look at Brawl they didn't like that shyt and went back to Melee which still pulls in numbers today.

Is that seriously your reasoning to thinking it was the pinnacle and shyt? Just because it didn't have revisions, sure as shyt doesn't mean it didn't need one. Also, IIRC, the lack of revisions to it was more or less about other matters anyway (licensing issues and fighting game/arcade "demise") more than anything. Also, wouldn't CVS2 fall into similar category just the same?

Also, since you wish to keep quoting me, while I don't usually do this, but I'm going to have to pull rank & evidence in the form of this here

to have me believe that in fighting game matters....in comparison to me...you just might...not know what the fukk you're talking about.

You sound salty, breh smh. As far as your "evidence", I've stated numerous times I put next to zero time in on SF5. NO ranked, almost no training mode, the games on here are the ONLY games I've played against humans. Give me a 30 minute refresh in training on Marvel 2 and see me. I'll break you.

It sold on hype. Plus, the tournament money was a motivation. It's not the worst thing ever, it just has big glaring flaws from being a pseudo sequel to TVC, along with the legendary Capcom laziness to improve the mechanics. If you like, cool. I play it here and there, but MVC2 is top 3 fighter ever for a lot of reasons. I bring up the lack of revisions because the gane ran strong for dumb long on one version, where 3 is dying after 3 revisions/patches 3 years in. But again, if you rock with it, you're not wrong. Play what you like.

Um, okay, lets say the bold statement is true (personally, it is for me, simply cause I had amazing years with it).

But, are you able to admit that MvC2 has SERIOUS and FOREVER lasting flaws? Flaws so bad that it metaphorically broke the game?

It's pretty much unplayable if you happened to play someone who has MINIMAL skill,

OR

if you played in the competitive scene and didn't use one (more like 2) of the 4 gods?

Someone who never played nor heard of MvC2 but played every other fighting game ever would laugh at it being considered one of the best fighting games ever.

Sure, super fun, fast paced, dope characters, HIGH TECH needed, but it's also poorly poorly poorly balanced.

Which, to any reasonable person, should be EXTREMELY important to any fighting game.

Oh, no doubt. Once you knew what you were doing and weren't playing someone blatantly out of your weight class, it's the most fun competitive game ever, fighter or not. It's even fun losing...

He said "(online:comeon:)" as if that really would have made any difference in that match at all:pachaha:.

Idk about you, breh, but online plus the weird amouny of lag in the game makes a difference. I like to play reactionary, and rely on fundamentals since I don't practice this game. I came up playing tournaments before online was a thing, I'm just playing for shyts and giggles. I enjoy SF:manny:. If I had the time and desire ,I would hang with or beat anyone here. Not even a disrespect thing. My honest opinion.

EDIT: If you need proof, I'll extend the offer to give you that work on MVC2 also:sas2:. Gt: NSCTripleAgent. I'll make time for MVC2...

Marvel 2 and 3 are at the top of my list when it comes to games period no game has touched the amount of time I put into those 2. At the same time tho you got to take in account of technology and availability in their respective times. When Marvel 2 came out there making changes to a game after release was very rare. Now all a company has to do is send out a quick patch and DLC (umvc3 original plan) Street Fighter was the only game that had as many revisions as it did besides that no other game by Capcom had anything like that. Also what games was Marvel 2 in competition with then? There weren't as many fighting games coming out that had lasting power. Now we got new Street Fighter, Guilty Gear, Smash, Tekken, MK, Injustice, etc every few months. Add to the fact that shyt like YouTube and shyt was just picking up around 2005 so any tech that was discovered was slowly going through the community versus today where new tech gets spread like wildfire. On top of that getting in contact with the Developers is vastly easier now compared to that Marvel 2 Era.

Marvel 2 didn't last so long because it was such a phenomenal game it lasted due to lack of options. It definitely wasn't going strong when Marvel 3 was coming out it had been on a decline for years because if it was then Marvel 3 would of been dead on arrival. What was stopping the community from going back to Marvel 2 and bringing the money there? I mean Melee did it and is still doing it. So whats the excuse? Marvel 3 still at its lowest point is bringing in more players than Marvel 2 did in its prime. It was on its last legs Marvel 3 just put the nail in the coffin.
Lets keep it real tho they both games with huge flaws that just happen to be fun as fukk despite that. :yeshrug:

Because you trying to son people like you're above anyone over an opinion. I see you didn't mention that little challenge since beating someone (online :comeon:) means something to you :sas2:

Not really. I said it was cuz you kept pining for a response from me when I had written your nonsense off, lol.

And cuz that challenge doesn't mean anything to me. It's an old ass, dead ass, unbalanced ass game that I only very casually played then and damn sure don't play now or even own the game. You probably would beat me in that game and yet, just as liable to lose to me in every other relevant fighting game that I do own and play, just the same, thus not really changing my point any, lol.

You think MVC2 is the ultimate fighting game and is better than *
opinionated.gif

, good for you. Go play it then and K.I.M. You not convincing me or most others tho so...:camby:

I gave zero fukks about a reply, your logic seems to dictate that winning gives you the right to talk, so I offered to body you in a game I actually play to justify me having an opinion to you. Better at SF5, you got that. In the grand scheme of things, you're as much a nobody as I am, so why can't I feel how I feel? If you want to see me on a game I actually play, we can settle it there. Otherwise hush up and stop trying to flex over SF5. You're not special. If you were, you would be placing in real tournaments, and not pounding your chest over The Coli casual league.

You turned a post with an opinion into a personal attack, but I cluttered up the thread? Okay...no time for your nonsense. You don't want to settle it on a game, yet you keep talking shyt. On ignore you go.
