It's easy for me to give, but it's hard for me to receive...

I have no problem giving anything..whether it's my time or money to anyone. I do have a hard time receiving things from others. It's a nice gesture, but something that's in me have an issue with me receiving anything. Tonight, my brother wanted to talk to me about something, I already had that :comeon:"what you do now" face because he's young, very intelligent but makes some of the dumbest decisions anyone can possibly make. He wanted to thank me...my face still :shaq2:. I thought he was playing so I was joking. But he was dead ass serious. He just "thank" me for always being there for him. Convo went from :russ: to :to:quick. He gave me this book I kept saying I was going to buy. It took me a minute to even accept it. I'm not used to that. It's always the other way around.

Is it hard for any of you to accept things or I'm just crazy?

I'm dismissive when it comes to accepting things.

But I've gotten better about it.
People are just trying to be thoughtful and denying things can be a slap in the face.

I love to give more than receive. I really mean that.
I don't even tell people what I want for birthdays or xmas, like ever.

This giving shyt is hurting me though.
Already I bought my mom a coat, my sister a tv, and another sister a playpen for her baby all in the last 10 days. On top of that, I paid for like 90% of all the food this past thanksgiving.

Time to be a little selfish now.

It's harder than people think.

I think for me, it's hard for me to be selfish because I can really get by with so little.
So anytime I think about spending on myself, I always think...wtf, I've gotten this far with what I have already

In your situation bruh, it doesn't hurt to ask for help. I'm guilty of this, but pride will get us no where. Family and friends are suppose to help each other.
