O-okay niqqa. Those are legendary albums there. You feeling too much confidence to be making those comparisons.
niqqas said Biggie and Pac like it's universally accepted. That's still going on?
stop it.
i had this same debate yesterday. the past few years ofmusic must be making yall forget the run wayne had in the 2000s.
the music speaks for itself though, go listen to drought 3, dedication 2, the leaked carter 2, the leaked version of i cant feel my face and get back at me
exactly...these nikkas be so disrespectfulC3 >>> C2??? I done heard it all now
c1>>c3>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>c2
although shooter is one of waynes best songs but beyond that firemen and hustler musik i dont really fukk with c2
Of course Wayne is gonna shine if he's the only thing on the radio along side Laffy Taffy or Soulja Boy. From 50-08, it was only Wayne, Nas, Kanye, and Jay on the radio fighting that BS. What YALL forget tho is that the underground scene was experiencing a meeaaaaan surge of quality then too. Dont tell me you slept on everything Ghostface was dropping? Or what Talib Kweli and The Roots was releasing? Masta Ace? Jedi Mind Tricks? Ill Bill? BLU & EXILE??? Elzhi? Lupe Fiasco? Royce da 5'9" (as a solo artist)? Do I need to continue?
It doesnt have to be mainstream for it to be considered a classic, and all of the artists I mentioned above SHATTED on anything Wayne was doing during his prime.
Not to diss the lil gremlin tho. I like Wayne. But niqqas need to stop overrating him.
c3 and c4 were titled in the same order they are ranked. the only argument is which one is the best c1 or c2
you aint lying tho
im not tryna overrate lil wayne but the impact he had on hip hop is undeniable. i was in middle school and high school during the 2000s and constantly had his music in rotation. he was on the hottest beats and had so much music dropping it he was my favorite rapper for a long time. i guess it could be more of a personal thing.
but im not tryna downplay the underground of the 2000s either. those guys you mentionedit was a nonstop stream of great music. i was heavy into the hieroglyphics, little brother, crooked i, talib, mos def, people under the stair, etc. the 2000s was the goat era of hip hop imo.
