Respect comes in how you carry yourself and how you speak friend. People call me sir in a hoodie and jeans. This is why its important to embrace the principles of good because when you give people respect and carry yourself with confidence in goodness, people will give you respectful titles off top, friends.

Do clothes make the man? In the eyes of the superficial but there are a lot of people in suits that are demonic filth so lets give respect based on character instead of clothing, friends.

I get head nods on the regular in my street clothes. Maybe you're ugly

Edit: And you probably don't even know what $500 dollar shoes look like. Jos. A. Bank doesn't count breh
Real talk, he threw it out there like nikkas on the-coli don't run in the corp world. I have never spend more than 100 dollars on shoes and refuse to. You can get a nice suit for 100 dollars much less a really good suit at Macy for 250-300 dollars. Anything else spent is retarded and poor money management unless you the type that like to be stupid.

Yea, wearing a suit is great. Just looking clean cut and professional will get you a certain level of respect period. Even if you dress business casual, and do it well, you'll get a certain level of respect just because. Especially as a black man.

Tailored and Tapered is always the way to go.

Peace

There's something to be said for quality. A dress shirt of high quality cotton is well worth it at $170 or whatever it may be. And a pair of $800 Alden shoes are made with more care and better leather than your $70 Bostonians.
But by and large, fit trumps cost.
A tailored $30 shirt beats a baggy $100 shirt every time.
