Winning a title is about giving the talent and fans a moment. WWE has always been about "moments" since Hulkamania launched.
Theory and LA lose heat if Theory goes over. Eventually people stop caring about LA if it seems like he will never win "the big one" and Theory gains nothing from a win over an ascending superstar.
Give LA a good moment at a major PPV, Theory gets a rub from just working heel with a a talent that's super over was as a babyface.
Maaaaan nobody is going to stop caring about Knight if he doesn’t win a title immediately, get real. He’s more over than 99% of the roster literally without one. Stop it.

A US title feud isn't a featured position on WWE TV? It's guaranteed TV time on Smackdown.
You are hung up on titles for some odd reason. My point is using the US title as device to give his a major moment in his ascension to top guy status.

I’m not hung up on titles, I’m only mentioning titles because the narrative is that he for some reason HAS to win one right now. Immediately.. and my stance is ehh not really. A title is bare minimum if there’s no real plans outside of having a title.
