It is French architecture. His point was how much it looked like New Orleans.
Well duh ..still wasn't build by the french but by freed black people who mixed the French and haiti style

Samething in PAP. In that era haitian students went to paris to study architecture and went back home to make those famous PAP gingerbread houses

The iron market in PAP was build by haitians after buying the blueprint from some middle eastern architect who the french pass down on

:ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::ohmy::mindblown::mindblown::mindblown::dahell::dahell::dahell:

Don't tell me they also burned Haiti's indignous gingerbread buildings. :mindblown: These dudes REALLY hate Haiti and the Haitian ppl.:mindblown:
alot corruption during the sweet mickey and banna era(tet kale party) link with the Core Group in Haiti

Happen early last year or 2017 under banna/tet kale. Haitian police c00ns and tet kale super soldiers were burning homes in okap to punish the people.

After the EQ in PAP(2010) some of these c00ns haitian officials were destroying historical landmarks on some corruption shyt to get contract to build a bus park or bus terminal. If i find the information again i post what i got in the haitian thread in the root(remind me)

Also the North part of haiti is the human trafficking headquarter for Hillary and "friends" of Haiti operations

This is why i dont give two shyt about the corrupted tourism people in Haiti

I know about the Haiti and Louisiana history ties with the French Revolution but never really paid attention to the comparable architecture the city has to Jacmel Haiti

This is dope.

@intruder v6.1 I’m going to Jacmel next summer. Any recommendations?

BookHaiti.com just been launched by this Haitian American entrepreneur networking with other tourists based businesses in haiti

New Orleans
New Orleans architecture is Spanish
Nah the French quarter is mainly Spanish architecture that's because Louisiana was a Spanish territory for about 40 years and during that time there was a fire that wiped out the French quarter. The Spanish rebuilt it in their colonial style similar to Havana Cuba some French buildings did survive though. The rest of the city is a mixture of styles that were popular from the early 1700s all the way to the early 2000s... ex. Greek revival,antebellum, arts and crafts, craftsman, creole cottages, gothic Mediterranean, bungalows ect.

Yeah I'm aware there's a mixture of architectural styles but people in this thread just keep saying french over and over again and that's not accurate
