It is what it is. Bloods expanded their brand and as a result a lot of their lingo and culture became mainstream.

This. Its funny how the older one gets they see how absolutely senseless that lifestyle is. Don't get me wrong either, a side of me can appreciate reading about it, the street legends, their stories, war stories, etc.. I'm probably a hypocrite in that regards, in the same way that white folks who are fascinated with the mafia but have a stink face when it comes to Mexicans and Blacks involved with the same activity.
At the end of the day though, in the grand scheme of things, there's nothing cool about that sh!t. It's not something to promote, or be proud of. I cringe looking at these rappers putting it out there in the mainstream. They make a mockery of Black people.

I dont know your reference to use the term commercialized, but I dont hear cats outside the net use these terms, Bicking back bein bool/bompton, nor do I hear it in the popular format as being commercialized.
