Have to say that along with Daniel Bryan, and Chris Benoit, Eddie probably was the feel good victory win when he beat Brock. While Mankind will always be that excitement factor of pinning Rock for the title, I think Eddie's win felt such a culmination of positives for him.

It was like even if he died the next day after, he got his one title. It was proof that he was able to really live up to his potential as a entertainer and as a wrestler.

Overall, his death was not shocking in hindsight; substance abuse and his body bulking up.

I am not left with sadness for him, more like, I am happy that Eddie was able to capture the World Title. He was a guy who was very good in the ring, but he is one of those guys that didn't need a title, but you would love to see it just once. And he did capture it, so your not left feeling let down of, "Man I wish he won it once." and what could have been because you hear stories of people being so talented yet having these demons that end up derailing them.

His life has been validated.

At the time he was one of my favorite favorite wrestlers and everyone one loved him. Where I was living in Florida was very diverse and Eddie was our guy it didn’t matter if you were Mexican,Jamaican,Haitian, or anything. He just pulled you in of course you couldn’t trust him but he would seduce you always man was the ultimate version of Pepe le pew. Just a genius

Stephanie said he was about to become a world champion again in that upcoming match and that was so sad.

Unfortunately because of a demon we can’t even really give Eddie all his due because the demon tacked himself on to the story.

I hate when someone dies you have to think about who you feel the worse for and for me it’s Chavo. For Chavo whole life his Uncle was there but because of the 3 year age gap they were more like brothers. Imagine growing up with your brother and y’all reach the top of the world together multiple times. Like Chavo found him dying that’s so heartbreaking.

Damn man. I remember after Rock stopped being full time, Eddie was my favorite. Dude couldn't have a bad match if he tried and his promos were hilarious.

I remember the days of YT having countless of wrestling videos/matches before the WWE Network. I managed to download a few Eddie matches and put em on my PS3. Bout to pull it out the closet and fire it up for old times sake.
