No. No he wasn't. Hardy was good, don't get me wrong. But Ledger was legitimately terrifying. So much so that he's pretty much ruined my perception of almost every "scary" comic book movie villain since.

Whatever dude, sorry you got scared from a movie. I hope you weren't older than 12 when you saw it or that's pretty pitiful. lol

Not that he wasn't great but dying helped his reputation as the greatest villain ever. Tom Hardy was just as good in TDKR IMO.

I'm not going to desecrate an individual's thread for remembrance by arguing over his merits in a film or reducing his entire filmography to one role.

So I'll just say he's yet another great talent lost too soon to drugs and he'll always be my favorite Joker.

It wasn't just him dying, it was the fact he pretty much died from getting too deep into character. You can only appreciate the dedication to the craft :wow:
