I personally think Hip-Hop was better in the 90's to although i grew up with early 2000's Hip-Hop which in my opinion was on the same level quality wise as the 90's rap.
I think i wouldn't even have liked Hip-Hop if i was growing up in the late 80's cause i felt some of the early sampled beats weren't as good yet.
I just don't really like beats that have a very computer generated sound like you hear nowadays a lot. I like beats that have that human feeling. that soul.
