India has a very respectable military capability but the advances of the PLA since the turn of the millennium have been quite alarming and it is hard to see any of the other Asian powers seriously challenging them in any serious military confrontation beyond a 2-3 month period
now India with overt American/other NATO power help could hold off China but who wants to be drawn into a shooting war with the PLA?
