I respect him for wanting to do it on his own though most artisst are spoon fed everything. 2014 was a step in the right direction though.

Big Sean is one of the more mediocre rappers I've ever seen "make it". Cole is FAR superior
Don't know how he went from FF3 and Detroit to his two albums. And wale took a huge step back with his last two albums. His first was actually very good, just fell short promotional wise.
I'd call him a mediocre artist, he's a pretty good "rapper" if that makes any sense.
Cole has crafted better albums, but Big Sean is the better rapper IMO.
You know I actually think Ambition was a very solid project. The Gifted disappointed me though. Only joint I fukked with hard was Black Heroes

I might go back and give it an honest relisten because I fukks with Wale I just remember being dissapointed in that album.
You want to talk about disappointing... Attention Deficit was probably his most disappointing album, especially when you think about the content he dropped leading up to that debut. He was coming off Mixtape About Nothing and some other decent mixtapes, and dropped that album, it had some ok songs, but nothing on par with what's on The Gifted. THen right after he dropped that album he came back out with More About Nothing confirming how much of a disappointment that AD was.
Yeah, maybe you'll take it in differently this time, but out of all of Wale's albums, The Gifted is the only one I can go back to and play from start to finish.
He had some great shyt on that album

Attention deficit had more quality sings than any other album he's dropped
Shade, contemplate, prescription, beautiful bliss, diary, center of attention, triumph, mama told me
Y'all gave him flack for the lady gaga feature but that was by far his best

I liked Contemplate and Beautiful Bliss, but I still liked The Gifted more. It was consistent from start to finish, it had a ton of variety and witty lyrics. It was just a better album to me and far more cohesive than AD.
I got Attention Deficit on right now, and yeah I forgot how good this was
If you wanna compare wale to j cole or say wale is better than j cole please stop what your doing and go listen to beautiful bliss
