season 2 episode 1 :ld:

they're not totally alike but if you pay attention and are very observant you can tell that guy ritchie's sherlock holmes films influenced sherlock :leostare:

They're both taken from the original Sherlock stories from the Arthur Conan Doyle novels. Except the Downey movies are shyt and the TV series is pure piff.

Basically. The movies were ok but the TV series is amazing. I hate that the show is on hiatus. Both actors playing Sherlock and Watson are in the Hobbit movies and one of them is the villain in the new Star Trek sequel.

Duh, I'm not saying Guy Ritchie's version is the source material, I'm saying that the Guy Ritchie's version and BBC version share similarities outside the source material. You can hear it subtley in the music and visually as well. :manny: I love the show and I grew up reading the novels watching the cartoon, and watching Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes.

I liked it, took some time to get used to but I can dig the modern take on things. theres obviously some reaches in a lot of them but it was obvious they wanted to make the show more fast-paced and appealing to the masses than true-to-the-book holmes

robert downey jr sherlock movies aint even sherlock holmes :heh: has nothing to do with sherlock holmes, its just an action movie that uses the dudes name

I finished the second season last weekend. That finale was :wow:. In fact, every episode was great except the Baskerville episode.

Anybody have any theories on what happened to Sherlock? I know

it must have something to do with the lab assistant Molly.

I've read numerous fan theories of what happened. One being everyone at the scene being in the act. They reason that Watson was in such a state of shock that he didn't properly check his vitals. It's :ehh:, but plausible. But that also brings the question whether it was a dummy that fell, or Holmes somehow landed safely on something. But yea i think Molly had some part in it.

Also the writer of the show stated in an interview that there were clues within the final episode.

I think its exactly what it looked like.

Maybe he's just going to come back as a ghost.

Its not too crazy of a reach considering that the Author of the books actually believed in fairies, and ghosts and shyt. So it could be a little nod to him.

I can't imagine it being anything else without it seeming dumb as hell to be honest.
