After that Singapore cane match I thought they'd maybe do some vignettes where Bayley is trying to find that edge. Nope didn't get that at all. Just an interview saying I don't want to hurt anyoneI've thought about this more, and it's not a hit on Bayley as a person but as her character. She is stuck as the Barney, a pure face that really is trying to be friendly. In today's E, that is Doink the Clown shyt, because I consider Steamboat probably the purest Face to ever wrestle and his character wasn't corny.
So with Bayley, all she wants to do is hug, and not hurt people. In NXT that works, in E', your expected to be Serena Williams; nice outside but hardcore in the ring. By having your character not wanting to hurt people, you might as well quit the E', if your looking to become Top Female.

Honestly, they just have to look at the other show and study because the only one whose as white meat a babyface as Bayley is Becky Lynch who keeps getting screwed over in matches and despite that continues to say she wants to do things the right way, but her promos funny accent and all are delivered with much more conviction that the crowd hasn't given up on her.
