Moody and Kuminga are better offensive players than GP2… where GP shined was his perimeter defenseNot paying GP2 would be like the Lakers and Bucks not paying Caruso and PJ Tucker. It would be asking alot for Moody and Kuminga to become peak playoff performers at age 20.
One thing I want to add is that while it would be nice to bring him and everyone back on some kumbaya shyt , it only frees up more PT for Moody and Kuminga who I have no doubt will put work in during the offseason and improve.Damn, congrats to him. Nobody could have envisioned him getting $9M per during the season.
Ay yall
we reeeeeeeally got one in gary payton mannnn
Offensively he can be replaced, defensively tho is another story, GP2 was ELITE on that end. Team needs to get another wing/guard defender but I don't know who that is on the open market. Honestly with the way Weatherspoon looked against Booker on Christmas day and what he provided on offense cutting to the basket in limited time I can see him making the roster now.One thing I want to add is that while it would be nice to bring him and everyone back on some kumbaya shyt , it only frees up more PT for Moody and Kuminga who I have no doubt will put work in during the offseason and improve.
Moody has every ability to be what GPII was on defense and even more on offense. GP leaving will only expedite that.
GP2 became my favourite role player on the team so its bittersweet. I am happy for him.
