I dont think the offense is the problem. When you get 11 threes from the splash bros and still get blown out.. You got bigger issues on the defensive end of court. After getting baptized by the heat defense the celtics offense seems more calibrated now, the GS defense just ushered them to the basket last night with ease. There is no help defense and no rim protection and none of the players can stay in front of guys driving to basket. These guys were 60%+ last night.. Yikes

I dig it but as alluded to they’re going to have to charge some shyt to the game. Steph is the smallest guy out there and it’s compounded by the fact that even Smart can post up. It’s one of the reasons I thought Boston would take it

Best thing GS can do is operate even higher offensively. Wiggins needs to hit shots and make his impact felt to open things up for the SBs

A lot of this could've been avoided if the front office just went out and tried to get the necessary pieces to help this team win now. Not this looking towards the future shyt. It's ridiculous that something that everyone should've seen coming is only now a problem because y'all are smacked upside the head with it. Steph is an undersized guard at 34 years old expected to bust his ass on offense, carrying a team where nobody else is stepping up on the regular.

Kobe at the same age was getting swept in the first round
LeBron at the same age didn't even make the playoffs (it was only when they got him the right pieces did he end up going back to the Finals and winning)
Zeke at the same age wasn't even in the league.

The Warriors only win this series if Steph pulls out a miracle, otherwise, it'll just be another wasted season where this core will never be the same again.

:hubie:
I don’t know who was available. That’s the thing. We just speak in the abstract about “pieces” that can help.

Again, I think we are good enough to beat the Celtics. The issue is, the warriors don’t play hard for 48 mins. They come out flat, and have to play catch up. Main culprit is draymond (and to a much lesser extent, Poole). The splash bros and Wiggins showed up. Draymond played 35 minutes and did NOTHING on the court.

Wiggs gotta knock down these open jumpers at a better clip. I do like that he's putting his head down and trying to get to the rim tho

Klay was coming off pindowns in the 4th having to shoot over 2 nikkas because the Celtics don't respect Draymond at all. This isn't real basketball man, his ass gotta be better. The reports after last season were that the FO/coaches sat down with Draymond about improving his offense after the debacle in the play-in, this dude didn't add a damn thing and is gonna sink them again if he doesn't play better.
