I love everything that JTA embodies.

I'm glad he had some meaningful minutes that can keep him in the rotation.

I've been singing his praises over the last couple of seasons, as I sort of liken him to a fan who understands what Warriors basketball is all about, and I mean that in the most respectful way possible. Because although he's a bottom-end role player and been in the G-League for most of his career, there's a special quality about him where he's like a theorized player of how you'd want someone to play in the system. A lot of role players come in and they do their thing where they fit and they work in the system, but I don't know if they truly understand it and do everything that makes the system what it is. JTA does all that. Obviously, he's been watching and assimilating ever since its inception, which helps, but it takes a certain type of character to come in and put it all into motion and sacrifice himself and his opportunity where he could use it as a platform to get a better NBA contract.

Kerr said this about him a while back -
Kerr also cited a quote from NBA legend Bill Walton to sum up how Toscano-Anderson demonstrates his personality through his play on the court.

"Something like people play basketball the way they live their life, and I think that's really accurate," Kerr explained. "You can see what a guy is about, you can see who he is by watching him play basketball, and the way he plays basketball is energetically, smartly, he does it in a manner that sort of weaves everybody together, he really ties a lot of groups together.

"Almost every lineup that we put him in, that lineup performs well. So, he's just a natural leader, people tend to perk up when he's part of the group, and I saw that in the offseason too with some of the social protest examples you mentioned."
