@Gil Scott-Heroin its only November and opinions will change as the season goes on but a few weeks ago you told me this team isn’t close to being a contender yet and I said we would revisit the conversation.

My first question is what is your definition of a contender? Making it to the western conference finals or what? My next question is what teams in your opinion are in the contender tier in the West?

A team that can legitimately win a title, that has all the necessary pieces, and is able to withstand the climate of the postseason.

This team isn't close to being a contender. And as long as Wiggins remains on the team, they won't ever be a contender.

It's not about which stage you make it to in the playoffs, because you can be a contender and lose in the first round, conversely, you can make it to the Finals and still not be a contender. To answer your last question, I don't think there is a contender in the West. If LeGM makes some moves, I'd say the Lakers could potentially become one. Regardless, this GS team won't make the Finals as currently constructed. It'll take some cotdamn miracle for them to make it, and they'll lose to whoever comes out of the East.

Heat
Bucks

Draymond and Kerr working out that playing him in the Olympics to keep him in a shape, so he doesn't have that long inactive period during the offseason, has been a godsend too. This is the best he's started a season in years. I know I say it all the time, but it truly is incredible the shyt he does on the defensive end.

Nobody holds that side of the floor in the palm of their hand quite like he does.
