Personally, I've caught none of the build, but I'll consider it if it gets good reviews.

The absolute over the top goofiness of the original angle won me over the second time I watched the first trailer. This could either be the best one yet because of the access to a production budget, or the worst one yet, because Vince and Dunn got involved.

I treat rusev all the time for being a generic WWE Russian villain.
Real talk,. Tho.
Rusev look like a Russian red mafia muscle guy. His look is authentic as fukk.
He looks like a red mafia kingpin.
who whooped everyone physically by force in the streets. On the divas show rusev is surprisingly other worldly a man's man humorous. Like rusev shows he enjoys life and I like that about rusev.
To the point I have come around to him when previously I would turn the tv channel immestediately. Great personality and if you get a chance to watch any YouTube vids of him,...do so because he is really overly entertaining.
Now if only his inring moveset was not so WWE neutered and generic.

I agree, his outside personality would put him over much better than his Bulgarian brute personality. I believe gimmicks sometimes can kill a rep sort of like stunning Steve. I could see him leaving and repackaging himself as himself somewhere else to draw more fans.
