WWE has essentially killed the value of promos in their programming.
Too often we get one person speaking and someone interfering and they go back and forth with scripted lines when they are trying to promote a fight
, if they hated each other they could fight right there.
Samoa Joe had some good promo work in 2018 when he was out of the arena and on the screen
Daniel Bryan is captivating on the mic
New Day of course can always be trusted (great at hyping up matches but they aren't really trusted with much else)
the only person I can think of on Raw is Paul Heyman. Seth comes off as a pandering try-hard with a bunch of promos ending with "let's kick (insert match) off...right...now", Ruby is finding her own but that storyline with Natty seemed like just a way to give Natty some shine since her dad died, I can't think of anyone else really. Balor gives off the "Ryback reading off the cue cards" vibe every backstage segment he's in
