Bradshaw /thread

when I was little, I knew it was only a matter of time until edge,Jericho and Jeff hardy would be champ. The others were questionable but still had charisma or in ring skills to warrant a reign, but Bradshaw :what: I still get confused over his first reign. He was boring as fukk, average in the ring, and while tall, not a unique or intimidating look.

He should have, but not at the time and not in the shape he won it in. There were multiple year stretches multiple times where Rey winning the title and getting a short reign would have been absolutely fitting, so the time being in the after math of Eddie's death while he was just a bloated puffy blob of steroids and lost much of what made Rey...Rey was just not it.

I think Rey winning the Rumble is a classic moment, but everything following it didn't work. Orton saying that Eddie's down there......in hell, Rey losing at No Way Out then having to get his title match back, the title match itself. Wasn't that shyt nine minutes? And I could have sworn the crowd was booing when Rey won the title. :picard:

Looking back, maybe they should have done Angle/Undertaker at WrestleMania instead of No Way Out, and Orton and Mysterio could have feuded without the title.

Christian had the jobberest vibe in 99. Rey would have been hard to believe too but he always had a buzz.

Christian has finally been a WWE champion?(haven't watched since 2013)

Rey Meysterio for obvious reasons

tbh, besides Jericho, a 9 year old me didn't think any of these dudes would be champion

but JBL was a worthy heel champ. I hated that flabbynsick built fukk so much :ohlawd:

Edge was over as fukk.

Christan was :ld: at that point.

Jericho interrupted the rock at debut.

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
Bradshaw.

WWE tried as hard as they could to put him in a singles role in 96, 97, and 02 and nothing ever gelled out with him. One poster on a board that I used to frequent (that is now dead) once said, "I think Bradshaw will slowly fade off TV by 2003 or 2004 and get released. He could be a monster in Japan." That's a pretty funny quote to look back on and laugh about.

Christian would be runner-up. A lot of people thought he'd be the Marty Jannetty of E&C, but he hit the ground running when he went solo in 2001 and didn't really let up. Of course, I never thought he'd be World Champion, but he'd always be a contender to face on a random RAW, and maybe even a PPV, if he was lucky.
