None of us really wanted him here but more like we’ve come to terms with it. And who knew Kawhi would even be available.
I can see where you’re coming from totally, but I also don’t see anything wrong with putting out chips on the table too. What if we stay put and make small moves, what happens if Ingram isn’t as good as we thought? What if Kuz really is Clarkson Jr?
Tbh, as much as I love our youth movement none of kids have shown enough to say any of them are untouchable. It’s for that reason that I personally don’t mind making moves with the roster to get back into contention. But we definitely can’t let the spurs clean us out, there’s no reason for the front office to act desperate because if Bron or any other FAs don’t want to come we can stand pat with our movement and continue the rebuild. Let’s just get the right deal if we gon make one.
Agree with all this. I love our young guys but I've noticed a lot of Laker fans have gotten pretty attached to them. Maybe because we've never really gone through an extended rebuilding period like this before, so maybe people grew to appreciate the process of becoming a good team again. So a lot of folks want us to keep the youth movement and see what comes of it. I see that part but at the end of the day, I'm trying to see the Lakers win. And none of the young guys are guaranteed super stars. I dont want to trade the farm for Kawhi but im definitely not in the "wait until 2019" camp. Too much can change between now and then.
