The Truth
The media creating a MVP Lebron narrative without knowing. I swear even without Bron. barring injury if the same squad returned that laker team winning 40+ games. Now add Bron and those vets this should be a 50+ win team easy barring injury
The only reason we didn’t get to 40+ last year was injuries, players not knowing each other, and shytty rotations

But yeah, they’re downplaying our young core for Lebron... i pray that the young guys play well and Lebron doesn’t get most of the credit for it

Without Lebron every Western playoff team plus the Nuggets is still better than them

That may be true but at the same time, these young guys got a lot of talent and are trending upward. Bron is definitely gonna help but even without him these young guys have potential, and BI especially could be slated for a break out year.

edit: plus all we're addressing is the way the media is talking about the team. They acting like its a bunch of trash around Bron. We don't believe that and don't expect Laker fans to concede on that

The narrative pre-Lebron: Lakers have a bunch of young talent, Magic and Rob are doing an amazing job and the kids are only going to get better

Post-Lebron: Lebron just joined the Cavs West. The kids aren’t ready nor good enough. Their young core is overrated

The narrative pre-Lebron: Lakers have a bunch of young talent, Magic and Rob are doing an amazing job and the kids are only going to get better

there is a big difference between young and rising talents vs talented enough to compete with the warriors. Even lebron's biggest haters (skip, rob parker etc..) in the media all acknowledged the lakers didn't have championship level players that's why they all questioned why he went to the lakers instead of philly and houston

Post-Lebron: Lebron just joined the Cavs West. The kids aren’t ready nor good enough. Their young core is overrated

:dwillhuh:

this was always the stance if measured vs Warriors

The team was on track to win 40 or so games without LeBron. If the team does win 50 games and LeBron plays like he always has, he will probably have earned that mvp.
