It seems like we making a trade during the season at some point. We have a lot of guys that do similar things

Maybe getting guys that Toronto likes. I like the signings either way, at best they become trade pieces for Kawhi and at worst they become contributors in the playoffs and guys that can provide opportunities for learning and practice with our young guys.

I doubt Toronto will have much incentive to trade Kawhi to us for some random guys on one year deals. They could just let Kawhi walk and start a rebuild. Don’t get it twisted, somebody in the young core or draft picks would also have to be involved. Should be interesting to see how it plays out.

We also need another serviceable center and I doubt we will let the deadline pass without acquiring one.

I have a feeling by January this roster could be turned over if things aren’t going really well. If any stars becomes available we will be ready to strike (Lillard, Kawhi, Wall/Beal, Kemba, Butler, etc.). So much flexibility. So many options.

I just find it hard to believe Lebron will be patient all season. We are going to lose somebody. :francis:

Aaaaand I low key have noticed that it’s been very quiet on the Lonzo front. I’m worried about his standing in Pelinka and Magic’s eyes. They rarely rave about him like they used to. Lately Pelinka has been constantly mentioning everybody but him when he speaks about the young core. Reminds me of how the D’Lo thing went down before he was traded. It also seems there is some friction there in how BBB handled Zo’s knee (delaying the surgery). The Lakers didnt want to comment on this for some odd reason... stay tuned :lupe:

If he can't hit some fukkin' jumpers this year, I don't care what they get back for him. :camby:

Luke can work his magic with the rotations even more now and LeBron will never be playing more than 35 minutes a night and If guys get injured, there are guys that can step in.

I'm also glad Magic did not fall into the trap of going after unatheltic shooters. The two shooters he drafted actually have some athleticism and are not unplayable on defense.

Exactly. The so called experts wanted the Lakers to sign these slow athletically challenged white dudes to just stand behind the three point and not do anything else.
