It still pisses me off how badly they dropped the ball on Owen Hart's return after the screwjob

I remember when he showed up at the end of the DX ppv and attacked Michaels I was :banderas:

The storyline wrote itself...Owen out to get revenge for his brother leading to a big title match at the Rumble. This was a great opportunity to push Owen to that next level and the fans were fukking with him heavy, which was cool because it was the first time he was really over as a babyface. I liked the Black Hart character.

I wouldn't have expected him to win the title from Michaels but a main event on a big PPV would've been a good push, and who knows maybe they could've given him a short run with the title and have him drop the title back to Michaels at No Way Out.

Instead Michaels acting like the drugged out, primadona fakkit he is and refused to do the program (leading to the Taker match that fukked his back up - karma's a bytch :umad:)

Owen was left to feud with HHH and was buried in that feud as well. Then literally weeks later he turns heel and joins the Nation :mindblown:

Now Owen made the most of it and was always a great heel but he was back where he was, and just stuck in the midcard and tag division going nowhere, which then led to the Blue Blazer gimmick :francis::mjcry:

He could've been alive and cooking up classics a year later with Benoit, Jericho, Angle if only Michaels would've done business. :hhh:=

Not to mention having an uneasy alliance with Austin to take down DX each for their own reasons but always having tension because of their feud before. It could have been fantastic storytelling in the right hands

Owen would've been a better fit in WCW wrestling Booker T, Benoit, Jericho, Raven, etc.

They could've got more out of the screwjob, but that's maybe a few months. Who are you gonna depush to push Owen Hart, who has average mic skills and won't do edgy/r rated storylines? The only guy I can think of is Shamrock, and I see Owen doing about what Shamrock did with his spot.

Owen’s best bet would have been to go to WCW, for various reasons.
Wish he did probably would still be alive.

austin never would have done business with him either as allies taking on dx or future big money ppvs against each other. That pile driver really did seal his fate in a lot of ways unfortunately.

Austin got lots of nerve considering he broke Chono neck the same way.

its because Owen called to check on him once or something and the “etiquette” is to call the guy several times or some bullshyt carnie thing like shaking hands with everyone before the show. Austin is an a$$hole for holding it against him like that, life’s too short for that stuff as Owen goes to show.

Shawn didn’t dislike him but didn’t truly want to do a series with him cuz deep down was scared he might shoot on him

and Austin was salty about him breaking his neck so he was never gonna do a series with him regardless

but they used all his leftover juice to push to HHH

him turning heel on shamrock was epic thou

his death was sad on so many levels but has far as his career what’s sad is eventually he would of been able to work with Jericho, Benoit, Eddy, Angle etc

him and Angle would of had epic matches abs promos looking back Angle was pretty much doing Owen heel gimmick all along

That’s crazy it was the exact same way too wow how weird I knew heard about this

I do believe the heat was more about Owen not really apologizing or checking up on Austin enough

The owen raw tribute show ending was also a load of shyt. Yeah austin is ur top guy so u have to put him out there but the whole austin toasting beers to owen at the end of the night was bullshyt cuz austin supposedly "never forgave owen". Jim ross spoke about it once.

If owen was around, say wen austin dipped at the end of 99. I could see hhh being in a program with him and doing something with the rock
