Stat plays defense? MELO plays defense? Since when?
This is just an inaccurate statement. The Sixers were THIRD in the league (behind Chicago and Boston) in ppg allowed and third in the league in FG% allowed last season.
The Knicks, conversely, were 11th in the league in PPG allowed and 10th in the league in FG% allowed last season.
Sixers are also younger at just about every position, too.
Hardly an argument for best all-around defense in the East.
And I actually like and root for the Knicks…but your statement is inaccurate.
Also…if the Sixers can somehow finagle Josh Smith away from the Hawks, the rest of the East not named Miami can almost assuredly cancel Christmas.
