The only flaw of this is that he doesn't acknowledge the regular cable bundle was an obsolete business model anyway. People were going to leave it regardless. He's right that the Netflix model wasn't the right one for streaming. Even Netflix has ads now.

if you use it right it's like having your own personal streaming service of whatever you and your friends/fam want to upload. i call it "hood netflix" but i use it more than any streaming service.

yes basically plex with no bloat/ads and open source. some folks prefer plex because it's easier for kids and folks who aren't tech savvy. some folks charge for access but you can make a group jellyfin server and use jellyseerr for media requests.Is this similar to a plex server? This has been the latest trend of them killing access to content.
