They have stuff like Star Trek they can license out to the highest bidder. Their streaming service is just burning money and they don't have the full catalogue to compete with the bigger players. I feel the same way about Peacock. Some of these companies don't need to be in the business of having to produce a higher output just to stock a streaming service when they can focus strategically on producing their best content to license.Mission impossible costing a gazillion dollars.

Not only is it expensive to spend all the money it requires to have a successful streaming service it's also hard to successfully create hit shows. Netflix makes a lot of shows that fail to get one Wednesday that succeeds.The old lady who owns it is running low on funds. She got greedy and didn't want to sell a few years ago when they could have gotten top dollar for just Showtime
