I've been lurking for a couple months, and I love to see people decide to make a change for a better.

The past few weeks I've been eating too much crap, and I want to get back on track. My biggest problem is late night eating, so its just a matter of will power.

The people who say to give up soda and juices are right. When I was overweight that was the first thing I changed, and I probably lost about 10lbs doing just that before I made any other changes to my diet. Once you get used to drinking just water you'll stop craving. Same goes for giving up salty snacks and sweets.

I never go to the gym. I'm female, so I don't do any major lifting or anything like that. I don't think going to the gym is necessary if you can find exercises you can do at home. I do crunches and (girl :o:) pushups everyday. Squats and lunges about every other day, I ride a stationary bike while I watch TV 5-6 days a week, run about once a week, and the days I don't do squats and lunges I lift 5lb weights. Obviously there's a difference between men and women, but I lost 55lbs without stepping one foot into a gym, and I ended up needing to gain weight again lol.

I'll be following this topic and wishing you luck!
