I think Andy held back on Ch. 1 because WB didn't know the goldmine they were sitting on. Hoping Ch. 2 has less wisecracks and more legit horror. Might track that way since we'll be focusing on the adults on this one.

I agree, and you can tell he had to compromise a lot of his ideas for WB. The tone of the film was not dark at all and had more of a fantasy feel to it.
