It's that hard or are you just not into PCs? I've been building my own PCs for almost 16 years so hopefully it's not that difficult.

It’s not. If you’re pretty knowledgeable with computer hardware and software you should be able to pass easily. What took me so long was just lack of motivation to study and test anxiety. Once I buckled down and just pushed through the only videos and practice tests it was a go.

I need to level up and level up asap. I'm tier 2 help desk and I could give a single fukk less about a service now ticket , task or request anymore. Every ticket I'm just :martin:

They are talking about hiring me and I don't even really give a fukk, because I know I'm going to be stuck on the help desk and every department worth a damn is outsourced.

I need yall to give me some coli brehtherly advice to get out of this help desk hell hole before I snap.

I really think I have 3 lanes at the moment I can get in but these cacs only like using me for "projects" instead of letting me run full time with it:comeon: so I already see I'm going to have to bounce to a new company.

Lv1 incident Management. I'm a back up for this now. I know this pays well, but the idea of sitting on bridge calls all day is :francis:

Identity and access management. I have some experience with mainframes but honestly I'm not sure wtf they actually do out side of adding entitlements.

I just know they get paid more than me, don't have to talk to end users and get a nice amount of youtube time.

Cisco VoIP. I worked at chase and they had me doing L1 cisco and avaya tickets. Cant lie that shyt was :ehh: just super copying phones, resetting voicemails ect.

I read a few post about Salesforce. I'm not sure if is the same campaign application we have at the job but I'm interested.

Keep campaigning until you get elected. Don't even worry about that, once you get it APPLY APPLY APPLY.

Just passed the 902 & became A+ certified hours before it officially expires. I failed with a 677 a month ago. Just want to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to this entire thread. Every time I got a little discouraged I jumped back in here & got inspired all over again :banderas:

What is the best path to take for someone looking to get into enterprise networking? Is a CCNA the way to go? Do you need a degree/schooling to qualify for these roles?

What sort of money is there to be made?
