Me, personally no. But I've been following the game development community for a while and that type of programming *REALLY* differs from your normal programming job( where you're mostly retrieving-data / do something with data / store data ).

I recommend hitting up Nvidia website and looking at a couple of their whitepapers and videos. You'll see that the degree you are going after fits with the type of stuff they are doing, as they do alot more than just "Gaming".

Java is also one of the most insecure. So man damn 0 day vulnerabilities for that bytch. First thing I do when I do a consultation is ask for a list of servers running Java and throw em all in the bushes.

soon they gonna throw c++ in the bushes as far as the curriculum go...when I was in college...you had to take 2 courses on it and at the end you took a bullshyt java
