Any of you all have a homelab setup to practice (specifically for certs)?
I created a few labs over the years because it's impossible to get anything done at work. Years ago you could find vmware workstation keys on YouTube to build VM's. Just need a computer with a minimum of 16GB of memory.Any of you all have a homelab setup to practice (specifically for certs)?
Cisco Dev-Net worth it after CCNA?
I'm trying to get into something where I don't have to speak much and can work remote.
What do you think? I'm watching David Bomthal videos
I'll second that. Speaking skills are one of your greatest assets. If you can sound like you know what you're talking about, you can go far. When it comes to networking, I dont think you can avoid not speaking lol. Especially if you work for a manage service provider and have to deal with outages all the time . Honestly technical skills with great speaking skills will make you bank .

Well okay... it is what it is....
Yes, unfortunately for most roles the more they pay you, the more they want to hear from you.
One of the things that helped me with public speaking (and writing papers) is to think of it as having a conversation with people rather than talking to them. You're just exchanging information among friends and acquaintances, and when you're talking, you're the one in control.I figured, I have a speech impairment that at times is non existent when I'm more relaxed but I'm never relaxed at work.
Guess I need to relax permanently for the better.
Any site reliability engineers looking for work? My employer is building out a team of 4-5 and looking for talent
Do you know anyone in your city that works in IT? The easiest way to find a job is through a hookup. That way you know what certs are needed ahead of time.A little experienced on IT looking to make the highest amount of money possible without paying, I'll use libegen and youtube.
What certs should I get first in order ?
How long did it take you to get them?
Are free vouchers for them easy to get?
