Yo, if I get this AWS SA Pro cert, and it doesn't move the needle, I'm gonna be mad asf
I’m taking that in two weeks. Been studying since November. The difficulty jump from associate to pro is ridiculous btw.

Either is fine but AWS tends to be more asked for. I just happen to be on an Azure path because that's where work is headed. The knowledge will be more or less the same though.Azure or AWS?
I’d say AWS.Azure or AWS?

I’d say AWS.
I used to work for a big vendor and most of our innovation was built with AWS in mind
I’m now at a partner in a pre sales role and it’s seems like we lead with AWS in every cloud discussion. Also I think the fact that EKS is so well developed will be why AWS becomes the clear winner in the cloud space
Appreciate it. That’s what I was leaning towards but my job is deep into azure so I was doubting it. I’m sure either holds weight on a resumè but I’m looking for longevity since they will pay for the certs right now.
That team is so tight fisted with sharing knowledge/work. They don’t want anybody else on the team basically. I’m looking for another job and I had some interviews so by this summer I should be out. Might as well go AWSThen why not get Azure if thats what they use? Get some experience at your current job
Why learn something new? I’d build on what I know and use the experience from the current job and study on Azure then say you have the educational and practical experience when applying for a new roleThat team is so tight fisted with sharing knowledge/work. I don’t really know much at this point. I know we use azure for a ton of stuff but I’m not so deep into it that it would matter. I’m basically starting from scratch right now.Why learn something new? Word on the street is that GKE is way better, but AWS is doing their thing and has name brand recognition at this point.I’d say AWS.

You got any MS certs or the new gig is off experience? congrats tho. That’s fair enough. Also important to get into what you prefer at this stage, so also remember that.
I’m going the Azure route as I’ll be working for MS, so started my journey with them. But my current work place is AWS, and their market share is larger. Azure seems more complicated though.
Good luck with it

Thanks, I’m trying to figure what makes the most sense but I’ll keep my eye on both until I make a decision. Good luck to you as well. That’s fair enough. Also important to get into what you prefer at this stage, so also remember that.
