Anyone still watching? I know this thread is old,but I didn't feel the need to start a new one.

I have a friend on Facebook that is dragging Molly and I'm appalled. I feel that Issa has been a horrible friend throughout the seasons and Molly has gone above and beyond. Just interested on some other opinions.
Faithfully every week. Chad is the realest character on the show :mjlol:

I still watch. What do you guys think about the last two episodes?

I think you're seeing the two of them grow apart. I feel Molly's biggest issue throughout the seasons has been around relationships and you see her really trying something different with Andrew and it seems that Issa isn't respecting that at all. On the flip, Issa's biggest issue has been around stability and finding her purpose and Molly doesn't appear to be respecting that. In my opinion, Molly has gone above and beyond for Issa, so I get why she didn't ask Andrew on Issa's behalf. It seems she's fed up and when she said "N!gg@ you always need a little favor", I felt that.

With that said, she was dead wrong for being pissed Issa went through Nathan. Andrew doesn't "belong" to Molly, where Nathan can't ask him a favor, not to mention Nathan knew him first.

I agree. Also, it’s interesting that Molly and Issa are growing apart even though they are growing individually. Issa finally committed and pulled off a huge event and Molly is in a healthy relationship. I wonder if their friendship thrives on dysfunctional

He is. Very curt but honest

Yeah. Molly was out of order but the truth is Molly and Issa grew apart and that is common. If they were to ever to be friends again, it won’t be the same

I believe a lot of friendships thrive on dysfunction. When you find someone that accepts your abnormality, it can turn into a weird, clingy dynamic easily. For Molly, Issa has accepted her weird dating/relationship activity, while Molly accepted Issa's overall instability and lack of direction. Now that both are fixing those areas of their life, it appears they don't need each other anymore.

Anyone watch this week?
I watch every week. What did you think?

LOL I'm team Molly, so I was ecstatic to see Issa struggling last week. (I know, it's horrible). For this week, I think we are going to see Molly struggling with putting this relationship first. Eventually, we will see they both need one another, but in different ways and should impact their association. I also think Lawrence and Issa may rekindle

I liked the episode bc Issa was learning how to be by herself. I wish she really would have knocked that with a painting lol

I’m interested to see if Molly and Andrew are interesting enough to hold down an episode. Andrew is so bland to me

Right! The one thing that always irritated me about Issa since the Awkward Black Girl series, was her exploration of interracial dating. Like damn, can't you just keep the black love popping?

I definitely think Molly needs to bounce off Issa or someone to make the scene interesting. I'm not trying to see her struggle to date this dude. This is the one time I'm happy the episodes are short.

Lol yes I have a feeling this is going to be a struggle episode. I do have to give it to Issa; she introduced some beautiful men into my life lol. Daniel and Nathan are so fine :noah:. Lawrence is very attractive as well. I think Issa and Lawrence are going to get back together. Remember the end of the first season? Issa had this whole fantasy about her and Lawrence having a child. I wonder if that was a flash into the future instead of a fantasy.

It's a struggle to see Molly and Andrew, especially on the sex tip. It's just not "sexy" at all..seem awkward. I thought it was a good episode and a main reason why interracial dating is challenging. Molly was being dramatic, but those types of slight's happen all the time when you're black, and especially darker skin. I like how they highlighted it, but also, yet another challenge Molly will have to work through if she dates this guy.

Right. When the whole situation with Andrews brother happened I wasn’t surprised and only shook my head. If someone is going to date outside their race they must be prepared for situations like that and know where your partner stands. That’s one of the many reasons why I wont date anyone other than a Black man.

I agree with what other people said Issa and Molly are growing as people and growing apart. And their friendship dynamic is changing. It used to be Issa in the 5-year relationship but struggling career and trying to find herself. Molly had a career but struggling in dating. Now Issa is trying to be more financially and professionally stable and not focusing on dating. Molly already has a career and is focused on dating. I feel like most of their relationship Issa was more dependent on Molly and now that the power level is changing, some friendships can't make it.

Someone pointed out on Twitter that Condola and Issa's relationship changed after Condola and Lawrence broke up. That made me look at her differently and Molly in the same light. Like when Condola was dating Lawrence and had the one up on Issa it was all good. But when she and Lawrence were done and Issa's block party was about to happen she disappeared.
