If you think that is all this amounts to you're an idiot

This would be like saying the Civil Rights Era folks should have levied their complaints at the ancestors who sold them into slavery instead of the actual folks discriminating against them
But you are a chronic contrarian & racist apologist anyway so why even bother.

black people during slavery, during the civil rights era and right now should ask how the hell did we get here in the first place and we should also fight for individual rights

i dont see why you can't do both or what the contradiction is

yeah exactly, that is what is really going on here

i remember reading about how african countries are trying to protect bashir the president from the ICC, the same guy who is causing the sudanese to flee

im not defending isreal, they are racists pieces of shyt, but from an overall perspective this situation is the fault of african governments
I would understand if you were blaming both sides for their mistreatment of the victims but you seem to be focusing more attention on the African government than Israel.

You dont want to do both, you want to ask how we got here and silence anyone who questions how to move forward

yeah i was focused on that, because my first thought when i read the story was how did they get there in the first place

Well hey it's always good to find the source for an issue but its not exactly good to downplay the fact that another equally important tissue exists.

Ummm, equal treatment under the law, equal access to the same quality education as native Israelis? I am talking about the refugees.

sure, that falls under individual rights and that is what the outrage is about, everybody should be treated equally, i think thats a given

but that isnt a solution to the problem of eritreans and sudanese fleeing their country

i can demand that isrealis protect the individual rights of the refugess, why would i not also demand that the sudanese and eritrean governments protect the individual rights of eritreans and sudenese?

Idiots gonna idiot.

I do wonder when are people all over the world are gonna be more aggressive toward the stupidity of racism.
Read Michael Bradley's Iceman inheritance and, you would stop wondering. It helps explain a lot about why certain people from certain areas(middle east) are so adamant about not mixing with other groups.

Read this as a start:

Nobody is saying that you can't, but you are brushing the immediate and more pressing problem aside to discuss something abstract and secondary

You talk like you are all heartbroken over the Sudanese + Eritreans but if someone hadn't posted this article you wouldn't have said shyt about them

You are just using this as a proxy to repeat your "minorities aint shyt" mantra, as usual

im not brushing anything off, i said the government (not just the isreali, but any government) should not be telling anybody where to go to school and ive expressed the proper required amount of outrage

ive never posted anything about eritrea but ive posted a million threads about south sudan and have celebrated their independence going back to KTL days

http://www.thecoli.com/threads/feeding-frenzy-in-the-worlds-newest-country.72164/
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/south-sudan-going-for-the-nuclear-option.133431/
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/ancient-kingdoms-in-land-of-war.102241/
http://www.thecoli.com/threads/splm-n-arman-says-islamic-movements-threaten-african-diversity.87619

and when reading about south sudan i also read about how african countries where trying to protect bashir, who is basically responsible for genocide against the south sudanese, that is why when i read the story and it mentioned sudanese i thought about how these garbage ass governments in africa try to protect him

IMO there is nothing abstract or secondary about criticizing african governments protecting a man who has literally killed millions of black people and that defense of bashir is directly connected to why these sudanese are in isreal

At the beginning of mean streets
i dont think any government should tell anybody where they have to go to school, but on the other hand, what the hell are africans doing there in the first place?

lets talk about eritrea and sudan first, cuz it would seem to me the real issue is how black people are being treated in africa

Have you ever heard of the Falasha/Beta Israel?
