Israel is an asset not just because Israelis are an extremely innovative and productive nation per capita, but because both the government and the people stand with America. No worries about a "Jewish spring" or an uprising that will overthrow a government and change things around. No worries about its "stability" or whether or not Israel will still be on America's side in the future. Israel is a permanent ally and will remain one because the people are pro-America.
