Sad thing is, the Israeli far right is probably as much a threat to their own citizens as the Palestinians. Most Israelis I met, even the right wing ones, were more moderate than these increasingly extreme people Netanyahu breaks bread with to make every subsequent coalition government. The far right has been attacking and trying to stymie Shin Bet, their own freaking domestic security FBI like organization, because it raised an alarm bell about extremism in parts of society including some settlements. The right wing may think they are winning a great victory but they could tear their country apart in the process.
