months, said by people that know what they're talking about. Do international courts have ANY
fukking teeth or authority?

International law has ‘authority’ based upon state actor recognition of international instruments and also state actor incorporation of intl law into domestic law ex. Congress ratifying a treaty.

The International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court have some heft, but largely based on the engagement and consent of state actors.

The UN was meant to preserve the spoils of victory for the United States and its allies. Hence, the lack of permanent security council members from Latin America or Africa….or West Asia.

It’s a miracle that China finds itself on it. This was likely a concession to nationalist China for enduring tens of millions dead fighting the Japanese.
