The answer is somewhere in the middle. Saudis are definitely not the joke army Napoleon thinks they are. But I don't think they're REALLY about that action against the big dogs in the region...e.g Iran, Israel.
They spend roughly the same amount on defence the UK do. Granted the UK get more bang for their buck....but money talks and the Saudis are still not as as Napoleon thinks. To compare them to Iraq's corrupt, sectarian and emaciated ''army'' is CRAZY.

There's a reason why ISIS tried to go into Lebanon even though the Iraqi army abandoned the Saudi-Iraqi border. They don't want that.
They are strategic and choose countries with sectarian issues which they can exploit...e.g Syria, Iraq, Lebanon. Their only hope in Saudi is to try and inspire local people.

The saudi's spend on defense to buy shyt. They don't train for shyt and they damn sure aren't the professional army they pretend to be.

The US/UK spend on military to actually research and develop things...not just buy things. BIG difference. Fatal difference if we're being honest. Lets not talk about bang for buck here. Iran is the definition of that in the middle east.

Side note: do ya'll boys even know how much science research happens in Iran? I'm talking medical journals and primary sources. They've done a lot of work for being so isolated.
