They have been one of the big winners out of this ISIS offensive. They have a lot more leverage in negotiations with the Baghdad govt and by positioning themselves as the guardians of minorities...bulwark against ISIS...etc a lot more ppl are sympathetic to their cause. No doubt they need assistance...but this alarm by their FM sounds like a shakedown.
