They had plenty of names that didn't fit the ISIS but ISI. It wasn't until 2013 in Syria( U.S. trained Rebels) renamed themselves ISIS.

On 14 May 2014, the United States Department of State announced its decision to use "Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant" (ISIL) as the group's primary name.[87] The debate over which acronym should be used to designate the group, ISIL or ISIS, has been discussed by several commentators.[84][85] Ishaan Tharoor from The Washington Post concluded: "In the larger battlefield of copy style controversies, the distinction between ISIS or ISIL is not so great.

ISI is changed by the U.S. twice for their usage. What I find is funny is the 3 heads( The esoteric phrase for Trinity) of ISIS( spokesman, field commander, and Caliph) is all named Abu.

Nah you got it twisted breh.

They can be called both. ISIL and ISIS mean the same thing. The Islamic State of Iraq expanded their franchise to the Levant or Sham in Arabic. Hence ISIS/ISIL. It's simply to reflect the changed circumstances. They have now dropped that name and just go by the Islamic State,

And they are all called Abu because it's a nickname meaning ''Father of''. It's a common Arab tradition whereby a man is referred to as ''Father of______(insert name of oldest child...usually). E,g Will Smith might refer to himself as Abu Jaden :pachaha:

Breh you're basing your statements on emotions not facts.

There's about to be a big fight for the Tabqa airbase in Raqqa province, once ISIS takes it they'll be able to spread into Aleppo, Hama and even southern provinces.

This isn't your typical guerilla groups, they have commanders from Sadam's Army and battle-hardened Chechens who gave that work to Russia in the 90s.

Meanwhile other rebels are moving towards Damascus airport.

You think Qassem Suleymani can come in and save the day but nikka is busy right now trynna stop Baghdad from falling. ISIS literally forced thousands of Shia militias lo leave Syria and return to Iraq, now Assad is bearing the brunt of it.

Hezbolla also been taking heavy losses near the Lebanese border. Conflict will spread into Lebanon itself eventually, once that happens shyt will be taken to new levels all together.

this is what im thinking. Once that happens it's a whole other world of shyt because Israel will have to get involved. I hope the plan is to roll out the next gen of military equipment and then kill all these people once and for all :manny:. If that place is just a pile of sandles and rags by the time were done nobody should drop a tear.

those commanders from Saddam's army aren't fighting for the restoration of the caliphate though, they're interested in carving out a sunni enclave based on Baathist principles, which IS views as a secular kaffir abomination. I don't think they'll be able to coexist for much longer, Lenoid Brehznev.

1. We know what it names means, there are double meanings for everything in the world of politics. Obviously what I said clearly went over your head.
2. Franchise? They are Wahabbist, under the Saudi family. They don't own anything.
