@Liu Kang care to give your reason you rated my thread? Your view on the SNL skit?
The skit isn't really funny but I didn't even expected some people to get offended by that. I mean that's just a comedy sketch. Some uproar from Conservatives because they got offended by "liberal" humor doesn't warrant a thread IMO and that's why I 1 starred it. But you're free to keep this thread alive, no problem.

Since we all first heard of the group in 2014...the news has brought us the most updated and exclusive pics, videos and articles. There hasn't been a day that goes by that something new of ISIS emerges from the news. Now SNL( Saturday Night Live) has jumped in the mix with bringing ISIS to it's comedy criteria and yet no one is laughing. Apparently the social media uproar began after a skit of a young woman was dropped off by her father to join ISIS in a Toyota pick-up commercial. Sadly there was no uproar of the SNL skit of ISIS being on Shark Tank in skit. So is ISIS off-limits to mockery? Was it ok to mock ISIS during the Charlie Hebdo shootings with drawings ( can't speak on that separately, I'm being censored) but it's not alright for SNL?

Personally I thought the skit was funny because people didn't understand the undertones of mocking ISIS. The Toyota commercial part was brilliant since ISIS is using Toyota vehicles provided by the U.S. Gov't. The whole image of ISIS is a farce and a phony but because SNL was smart enough to use comedy to mock the image, it's ridiculed for showing some proof.

1. You know Toyota sells cars around the world right?

2. Who said you can't mock isis? Is it illegal?

How do you know what was Liberal and what was conservative? The views expressed by social media didn't have a political affiliation. You didn't one star me for that....it's cool to be bias about things.

1. Yes Toyota sells cars around the world but only certain trucks are purchased in the M.E. which was exposed in the ISIS thread. I forgot you ignored that article.
2. Illegal no but the backlash of hate, disgust placed in that area.

I'm 75% sure ISIS isn't even real.

I mean, it exists... as a propaganda campaign and series of staged attocities... but each video they 'release' increases my skepticism as to it being legit vs a joint opperation between the CIA and Israel.
:manny: Those vids are fake as shyt. And they are american produced.:beli:

MEMRI and SITE make up the majority of the videos/pics. The rest of the story-lines are writers from MSM. The real ISIS in Syria and Iraq fighting and don't have time for social media and 1million produced videos.

Didn't know that. But I do know when they are showing a 'soldier' in a uniform that has never seen combat.
My roomate used to work on the 'The Closer' with Kevin Bacon's wife and a few other shows. Wardrobe is so lazy nowadays, they don't bother having anyone wear the outfits before the actors get them.
The practice is usually to get clothes from thrift stores when they can... but sometimes you'll be watching a show and its just ridiculous. Thats what its like when I'm watching an Isis video. Fake as hell.

The first sites to get exclusive access to photos and videos are those sites and they are presented as real without actually having people confirm them. Later the experts come out and say they are CGI, altered, fake, etc. Yet the media continues to use those videos already proven to be fake as real and tells the audience it's real. Yeah I heard from a make-up artists from one of the HBO shows that wardrobe always forgets something.
