Supposedly rehab fixed that but I have no clue. Zay might be one of those cases of untapped potential that might never full realize it.

Yea rehab is one thing, but going on that road and having all the vices immediately available again. Never know. Kinda wonder if it would be a good move to put him on tour with Kendrick as one of the opening acts. That way you're surrounded by more TDE people (management, label people), plus Kdot is a good influence to be around.

J. Cole is as foul to randomly say he's dropping a single tonight knowing it'll completely eclipse all the hype TDE tried to build up for Zay :mjlol:
No it won't. Most people will listen to both.

Streaming makes it easy.

And if they wanted to build hypatia and do this trash surprise last-minute roll out for somebody not well-known like him

Beg to differ. Not because of streaming itself, but the combination of Cole's MASSIVE popularity and fanbase and this being the buildup hype to The Off Season that's only a week away.

People will quickly forget about Zay's single... JUST AS FAST as people totally forgotten he dropped a song almost a year ago. How can one compete by being a lesser established artist with a lead off single for a pending album off in June vs a top tier rap artist dropping a joint hyping an album that's just a week away?

By Sunday, people are going to forget Zay's song. Had this been Kendrick or even SZA it'll be a different story.

I think there is room for everybody.. I don't care enough to go back and forth. No offense.

I probably won't check for either song honestly. Never heard an Isaiah song and the last song I heard from J Cole was the "nikkas been counting me out" song. I forget the name.

They ruined one of my favorite underground Triple 6 songs too...Punch fukking sucks bro

The single they dropped last year (Why Worry) is much better. I was afraid of this with Zay; I knew they were gonna try to navigate the trap arena.

he got a joint sampling cheese and dope thats 10x better than the bullshyt dropping tomorrow

Fair enough. Even though the single you're referring is J. Cole's biggest song he ever done.

But I still look at it from this perspective, it's like if Paisley Park announced something was coming that we supposedly long waited. Many hoping it's PRINCE, or at least THE TIME or even Sheila E and it turns out to be THE FAMILY whose not as well known. Then MICHAEL JACKSON out the blue said he's dropping a song that same night. Most of the attention will be at Michael.

And The Family will be that obscure group which is who they are in real life.

I get what TDE was trying to do which was build up hype around Zay... and it could of worked. But because J. Cole done this, this will hurt Zay. All that build up for nadda.
