I’m confused because someone has said earlier in this thread he probably has daddy issues which he does. I need to be explained how that correlates and what do you mean he’s been fighting this his whole life. He may not be gay this just him spiraling down due to excessive drug use?

Yeah, I couldn't help but laugh when he said that. He did say that he supports him but he don't condone it either. I listened to a little bit of Star's commentary on it, was surprised he didn't really clown on him, at least from the bits I listened to, he was more concerned that Jim Jones was shopping with a buncha guys at Gucci.

I noticed no Angela Yee rumour report, or Hot97 coverage either, seems like a lot of the mainstream hip hop media ain't covering it, I guess they don't want to be accused down the line of contributing to his outing. Realistically, don't film stuff you don't want getting out there, but honestly from the stuff ppl are saying in this thread who watched it maybe this was the plan, apparently he's the one actually filming it himself and he's talking to the camera, so it's not like he was unaware. Ppl are saying he was being paid for this debauchery as well, if that's true it sounds like he's down bad and fukked up in the game. Either way hopefully he gets some help for his demons and mental health issues and what sounds like is probably a serious substance abuse issue.

It's a part of this new woke short attention span internet media "everything is fodder" world we're living in. If you fit in with their agenda they will catapult you to high levels. shyt changed with Lil Nas X IMO, although Tyler and Frank Ocean were probably the stepping stone for him. Tyler got a lot of critical flak when he was doing the angry shock value lyrics. Then he switches it up, makes a softer, nicer album and says he's gay in one of his songs and suddenly he's a critical darling and winning Grammy's. Meanwhile the rest of those Odd Future cats besides Tyler and Earl all but disappeared. The thing is Tyler is talented regardless of his sexuality and has some very good music, while LNX is minimally talented. But since he makes extra gay videos that make homophobes and parents uncomfortable, the media loves him. But this is all irrelevant to the fact that LNX is all image - his music is bland, boring generic pop. So with Isaiah, it's probably a wave he can ride. All he's gotta do is make music about the video leaking and his struggles with being closeted and the media will eat it up. They'll be ravenous to throw awards and accolades at him even if the song is bad. In other words, this shyt happened to him at the right time - yeah he got outed and caught some social media flak over it, but if this was the 90's or early 00's his career would be over.

It's the same with the thot rappers now. In the 90's, Kim and Foxy were popular but hardly praised. I'm pretty sure lots of people made jokes and criticism about them being hoes and too sexual (while Lauryn was lapping up all the praise and awards). Early 10's, Nicki comes through and becomes a huge star but isn't exactly a media darling. But she opens the door for a new wave just as Kim and Foxy opened the door for her. Then Cardi, Meghan, Doja and this new wave of sexualized female rappers come through even though they aren't doing anything different from Kim, Fox and Nicki (and aren't as good as rapping either). But they came in at the perfect time, when the mainstream culture was ready to accept them. More cases of "so and so walked so they could fly". A lot of who and what blows up is based on where popular culture is currently at.

Yeah that's true, and in this day and age if he choses to embrace the lbgt image and community I'm sure they will prop him up heavy, honestly, I liked Cilvia Demo but didn't really check for him too tough after that, outside of Jay Rock TDE kinda been letting me down the past 5 years or so, I like to try to maintain a live and let live mentality when it comes to other people's private lives, would be lying if I said I didn't wish this stayed private though lol, I'm just happy it wasn't Jay Rock, and if that makes me a less progressive thinker then it is what it is.
