Agreed. I’ve been doing experiments with listening to different genres of music while napping and then comparing the dreams. When I listen to really negative music, I have scary dreams (but I don’t mind.). If I’m listening to chill more positive music, I have happier dreams. So, I’ve concluded that music type does affect one’s sub-conscious at least

I’m just stick to making beats and shyt. Rapping on a mainstream label ain’t worth it if that’s truly the case. I don’t think all mainstream artists have to do this but who knows. It doesn’t help many, Rita Ora is rumored to sleep with mad executives and her career didn’t go too far.
