I'm starting to prepare myself for the possibility of the Celtics getting carmelo based on what mannix is saying.

Larry sanders must have got his workout cause there's no chance we do this trade without including Amir and zeller

Clippers can't really offer a package worth having... their offer basically breaks down to Austin rivers

What piece could they possibly get from a third team for Crawford? He has a negative value with that contract.

Celtics can offer picks, not the Brooklyn picks but picks. But no chance the knicks get the Brooklyn picks

Problem is we are hurting our depth just to try to match the contracts

You basically do Amir, zeller, and young for melo along with two or three first rounders (2018 Celtic pick, 2019 clippers pick)

Then you immediatly sign Larry sanders and hope he can at least be what Amir was

I also wonder if Danny has the balls to bring guerchon yabusele in THIS season (unlikely)

Carmelo would be a complete disruption to our offense. I would hope the Cs do not pull the trigger on this (if it's even proposed). And even if there is an offer and the Cs agree in principle, the Cs shouldn't be giving up so many picks for Melo.

Moreover, recent reports indicate that the Cs weren't impressed with Sanders' workout and that no offers from the Cs are imminent.

An NBA source said Celtics coach Brad Stevens would embrace coaching Anthony, but president of basketball operations Danny Ainge has rejected any deal. That hasn’t stopped the Knicks from scouting Celtics players just in case Boston is willing to become part of a trade.

Anthony is averaging 22.6 points, 6.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists this season for the disappointing Knicks (21-27), who are two games out of the eighth playoff spot in the East. Anthony has faced scrutiny in recent years, and Jackson has been one of Anthony’s biggest critics.

Vucevic isn't a bum tho, they could easily dump his very nice contract if needed

No bum, a solid player, but C's are not in the position to take on that kind of contract unless the player is a difference maker. We have to keep in mind the long-term here. Cleveland is the standard. That player does not put us any closer.

They could move his contract easily in the summer and get that cap space back.

Stevens has a talent for getting the most out of players and I strongly believe vucevic's value would go up here

A source indicated that Knicks president Phil Jackson has instructed management to move Anthony, who has a no-trade clause but included the Celtics as one of the teams for whom he’d waive the clause. Boston could become part of a potential three-team deal that would send Anthony to another club, perhaps the Clippers.

and interestingly enough, Brad has said that he'd embrace coaching Melo @KevJ

I've started talking myself into it... Horford would need to be a center for it to work tho

It makes no sense to jump in for a third team unless we were getting melo

We already had Austin rivers and traded him... Crawford's contract makes him a no way

Reddikk is kind of interesting cause he's an expiring but we really don't have minutes available for another guard

We'd be giving up too much for Melo. And, you're right, Melo would have to be a 4.

I can't stand watching him get the ball only to do the hokey-pokey and then chuck up a shot as the shotclock expires
