I was called in to HR to be replaced by an indian
When I arrived they asked: “how are you?
I responded: “I’m fine I’m Indian”
They replied: “oh sorry you can return to work thanks”

My job is safe, but I might start keeping a samosa nearby just in case they want to test me.

The thirst for knowledge
My job is somewhat "safe," although they laid off most of my developers. I am now the lone Senior Engineer, and they brought in an Indian contractor. They brought them in to "Offload" some work to them. :russ: I still will be tasked with the more complex projects. Also, I have been the lead senior since I have been here and have designed and architected the majority of our cloud infrastructure. What's funny is I have been tasked to show them where they would be writing their code(Projects/Repos/Branches/etc.) and NONE of them have even asked questions. The system is pretty complex but they are like, "Nah, We are good". They didn't even know how to accept an Azure invite to our tenant. :mjcry:
They tried to deploy an update to our front-facing site (which is outside my scope), and it took them a full day to complete it. :childplease: I know when they start doing work under my scope, I will be constantly babysitting them. :noah:

The reason I am "safe" is NO ONE knows how to run our CI/CD. I control everything... My boss panics when I take a day off.
No one is truly safe though, so I am starting up my Start-Up this coming year. :blessed:
I have already done the Market Research and written my business plan and design docs. I want to work for myself and have the skills to build out what I want to do for my Start-Up.

County workers are always safe :blessed:

"On one hand, AI holds the promise of streamlining bureaucratic processes, enhancing decision-making and optimizing public services. However, the integration of AI also raises critical concerns surrounding privacy, ethics and the future of work. As the transformative power of AI permeates the governmental landscape, its impact on policymaking and social dynamics becomes an imperative area of exploration and regulation."

It's just a tool until you competing with Vivek and Grok. :mjcry:

Real talk. I think I need to learn some AI prompting stuff.
