I'm safe from H1Bs because you need to be a US citizen to hold a clearance. But 2nd gen Indians that are born citizens or naturalized Indians could flood aerospace and defense eventually in the long-term. But they are typically money-driven and aerospace/defense doesn't pay like big tech.

Work in finance, on market sensitive issues. I wouldn't say it's safe, but I purposely do all the shyt work no one wants to do. When I go on vacation, my team damn near collapses and upper management doesn't want to train more ppl because giving us bonuses is cheaper.

We've been winning since covid tanked the markets and the housing went to hell. And the way shyt is going now, we will be bigly for the next 4 years.

We just converted to SAP last year. SAP is the gateway drug to outsourcing lol. Fortunately, I work in finance in the steel industry. Both are notoriously resistant to change. It's a 200 year old publicly traded company with zero pressure to grow. DEI program is still going strong despite all the noise. I'm fairly safe.

Yeah

Traffic analyst, you have to actually go into neighborhoods and take measurements and samples of traffic calming infrastructure and write technical reports referencing legislation.

The security is in knowing the different types of acts or how to find them. The work is boring but the security is there

My entire team at my side gig is Indian except me :russ:

Been like that for a while, they are lame and musty.... sometimes outta line..... but they are cool otherwise. They don't bother me, they mostly dont like each other it seems for whatever reason. I've only met some of them in person twice at an onsite thing in San Diego.

My main job is solutions architect for a cloud provider, its hard for them to succeed in that role. You gotta be likable and able to talk to people from awkward ass staff all the way to execs. We got a ton of indians in the company, probably more than any other company in the country....but those MFs are never customer facing unless they are extremely westernized so I'm good.
