Its unavoidable at this point. Usually when a company shows the positives over the main negatives (endeavors, corning cutting, etc), its a dead giveaway of a company that is about to get sold. The pandemic alone killed wrestling regardless of what marks will paint with a rose colored brush:

  • The indies are dried the hell up
  • NJPW is in a WOAT place due to COVID taking its toll
  • DDT....:mjcry:at least NOAH is somewhat striving in these dire events
  • IMPACT is a roach that won't die
  • AEW is slowly feeling the blues with TNT not understanding this wrasslin thing:skip:

WWE is thriving because of their history, but the grim reality is that they are in a world of shyt due to the "Fox" deal and now the "NBC" deal. I'm convinced that there is some business issues that are not being sorted out because of all of these potential moves that sadly got fukked with the pandemic.

Overall, I said this from day 1 that wrestling is slowly going to be in a sad state of affairs, along with a company somehow restoring the feeling but not on the level of the 90s. Just enough to keep a dying industry afloat.

WWE consolidating and going into business mode means they might slow down on signings, and indies can replenish. Especially since Impact and AEW seem to be pretty cool with their talent working them.

Japan getting their shyt together is going to be a gold mine for guys looking to freelance, and NJPW seems open to collaboration now more than ever, judging by them being willing to at least talk to WWE again.

AEW and Turner are just fine. If they didn't fukk with them they'd keep them on TNT long term, and tell them to just deal with constantly moving around until they cancel them. NBC killing NBCSN and ejecting on the NHL came as a surprise to just about everybody, and Turner made a move on NHL rights they didn't have any previous indication would be available.

I could see it being a sign that Shane/Steph/HHH are taking over and Vince could be officially stepping down. He might be looking at that travel schedule like :patrice: after chilling in florida for a year. :pachaha:

Wouldn't surprise me if he sold the company and then made a push to install Linda in a senator/governor-level position with the new money, tbh. The story is a lot better if he's out of the wrestling business when whatever happens happens, and I think after 45, anyone with enough money is probably looking in the mirror every morning at least wondering 'what if'.
